|Claridge's Christmas Tree 2025 By Daniel Lee For Burberry Has Been Unveiled

Claridge’s, London’s legendary Mayfair hotel, has this morning unveiled Claridge’s Christmas Tree 2025, this year designed by Daniel Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry.
The traditional 16ft tree is decorated with bows – a Victorian symbol of unity – made from surplus Burberry fabrics. The tree is covered in wild foliage and thistle, Scotland’s national flower, as a nod to Burberry’s connection to the Highlands, where its cashmere scarves are produced. The colours and textures bring the outdoors in, drawing from the beauty of the
UK’s rich landscapes.
The tree features hanging brass bells inspired by the house’s Equestrian Knight Design and baubles handmade by a British glassblower. The top of the tree is adorned with a gold crown, while the base features oversized floor-standing chess pieces and cosy cushions and blankets.
Commenting on the tree, Daniel Lee said, “Claridge’s has always felt like home from the moment you walk through its doors, a true symbol of elegance and British heritage where I’ve enjoyed many special moments over the years. Being invited to design the hotel’s annual Christmas tree is a huge honour. I saw it as an opportunity to celebrate tradition and togetherness - expressing the season through vibrant colours and rich textures. Christmas is my favourite time of the year”.
Claridge’s Managing Director, Thomas Kochs, said, “Christmas is always the most magical time of the year at Claridge’s and this festive season we are honoured and delighted to welcome long-standing friend Daniel Lee into our lobby. We look forward to seeing guests and visitors immerse themselves in the creative world of Burberry.” Set in the hotel’s lobby, the annual Claridge’s Christmas Tree has long been a festive landmark for both Londoners and visitors from around the world.

BURBERRY & CLARIDGE’S FESTIVE TOUCHES
To celebrate the holidays, Claridge’s features elegant Burberry details throughout the hotel. Guests and visitors will be welcomed by doormen wearing the iconic Burberry Check scarf. The unmistakable pattern also appears on room key holders, as well as in the lift, which has been redesigned with a plush check pattern on the sofa and cushions.
In Claridge’s Bar, guests can enjoy a specially crafted Burberry cocktail, Winter Knight, while trolleys offering sweets wrapped in check cones provide festive delights.
Burberry has also collaborated with Claridge’s on its annual festive bauble. Each hand-painted design features the Claridge’s Bell Boy Teddy Bear dressed in a classic Burberry trench and scarf – uniting two heritage British brands in a collectible piece. Only 300 baubles will be made, available exclusively in Claridge’s shop.
THE BURBERRY FESTIVE POP-UP AT CLARIDGE’S
Burberry is bringing its outerwear and scarves to the hotel’s ground floor with a specially designed pop-up that continues the spirit of the Claridge’s Christmas Tree in the lobby.
The pop-up will feature the Scarf Bar: an elegant setting showcasing Burberry’s soft accessories and inviting customers to explore the heritage and craft behind the iconic British design. A curated selection of scarves – from soft cashmere to silk twill – is presented in a rich palette of colours, patterns and textures, with a wide variety of Check shades to discover.
There is a selection of Burberry products curated with the gifting season in mind, including the house’s latest outerwear, heritage rainwear and knitwear. These are complemented by luxurious small leather goods and bags.
The Claridge’s Christmas Tree 2025, by Daniel Lee for Burberry, will stand in the hotel lobby until Sunday 4th January.
Set in the hotel’s Art Deco lobby, the annual Claridge’s Christmas Tree has long been a seasonal landmark for both Londoners and visitors from around the world and symbolises the start of the festive season in the capital. This is the fifteenth year Claridge’s has invited a distinguished friend to reinterpret the Christmas tree in their own distinctive style.
