Claridge's Restaurant Introduces a New Sunday Roast Menu

Claridge’s Restaurant launches a new Sunday Roast menu, offering a modern twist on British classics. Enjoy three refined courses, nostalgic desserts, and exceptional wines in a glamorous Mayfair setting.

An elegant tablescape featuring roasted chicken, Yorkshire pudding, rich sides, and fine wine, perfect for a luxurious feast.

Claridge’s Restaurant, the classically inspired but contemporary British dining room at the legendary Mayfair hotel, is delighted to announce a brand-new Sunday Roast menu, launching on 4th February 2024.

Made for whiling away the afternoon with friends and family, the Sunday Roast menu at Claridge’s Restaurant will be a three-course affair, celebrating British traditions with modern twists. Served from the kitchen’s striking, marble-framed doors, starters that are exclusively available on Sundays will include a Ham hock terrine with pickles and brioche; a Gratinated French onion soup with gruyère; and a Seabass and crab fishcake with tartar sauce, lemon and Wakame seaweed.

Onto the main event where guests can choose from a Norfolk black leg chicken served for two with truffle stuffing; Roasted Herefordshire rib of beef with horseradish purée, Yorkshire puddings and sauce Bordelaise, or Porchetta with burnt apple purée. Alternate options include Grilled monkfish tail with roasted cauliflower or Celeriac and mushroom pithivier with celeriac purée. Each table will be served a selection of generous sides, such as Roast potatoes, Glazed carrots, Seasonal greens, Cauliflower and cheese gratin, and Gravy.

Puddings at Claridge’s Restaurant are always gloriously refined but deliciously nostalgic. Served family style, standout dishes include a Baked meringue tart with lemon and an Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream and custard. Cheese lovers can enjoy a Colston Bassett stilton, chutney and crackers.

All good Sundays should start with Bloody Marys and Claridge’s Restaurant makes no exception. Mimosas are on the menu and an impressive wine list too. What’s more from Monday 22nd January guests will be able to purchase wines from the Claridge’s cellar at retail price, to be enjoyed in the restaurant corkage free. From new wines to rare vintages, experience a special tour of the cellar, guided by the Sommelier to select your bottle before sitting down or pre-order for a future visit.

Simon Attridge, Culinary Director at Claridge’s, notes: “As a huge fan of Sunday roasts, I am delighted that we will be introducing this timeless tradition at the hotel. We strive to showcase the best of British produce, with that added Claridge’s touch, and are looking forward to incorporating the new menu into our Sunday service.”

Claridge’s Restaurants Sunday Roast menu launch on Sunday 4th February. Priced at £75 for two courses and £90 for three courses. Reservations can be made via the hotel website: https://www.claridges.co.uk/restaurants-bars/claridges-restaurant/

ABOUT CLARIDGE’S RESTAURANT

The restaurant was designed by Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, paying homage to the hotel’s Art Deco design heritage.  A contemporary colour palette is complemented with Calcutta Viola marble and antique brass. Mosaic flooring, central leather banquettes and dramatic pendant lamps, in the style of art deco architect Joseph Hoffman, add a sense of true glamour to the space. The restaurant’s distinctive art deco starburst skylights were designed by Guy Oliver and artwork has been chosen from Claridge’s extensive private collection, with pieces from Sean Scully, Guggi, Richard Gorman and two new bespoke commissions by Brian Clarke. Daylight floods in from the expansive windows along Davies Street and an art-filled private dining room features a playful take on panelling by next gen artist Sam Wood. Overseen by Simon Attridge, Culinary Director at Claridge’s, the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch Monday to Sunday, and dinner Monday to Saturday.
