The Wellness Masters

Claridge’s Spa has quietly become a hub for some of the industry’s most sought-after names. Meet the Wellness Masters.

Discreetly hidden several floors beneath the famous black and white tiles of the foyer, Claridge’s Spa is a haven for those in need of serious time to themselves. But there is more to this underground oasis than meets the eye. Amid the Japanese spa, the infinity pool, the daybeds with soft, thick mattresses, and the elegant low lighting are some of London’s finest practitioners – each at the top of their field and known for getting serious results.

Beauty is...

RJB: a good night’s sleep, with no liquor.
HP: feeling completely at ease in your own skin.
JW: confidence – the feeling of being the best version of yourself.
TT: many things. I’m happy when I’m inspired, whether it be by faces, art, landscape or interiors.

Wellness is…

RJB: more about peace than anything else. You can buy health to some degree, but peace is a commodity that is much more scarce, and one I want to give my patients.
HP: doing things in balance. Keeping my energy high and always thinking about longevity.
JW: living well, feeling a little taller and radiating a glow.
TT: doing the best you can in taking care of yourself.

Claridge’s is…

RJB: a little bit magic. Everyone gets treated with the same care and attention.
HP: timeless London.
JW: home! Claridge’s is full of heart and people who really care that you have a great experience.
TT: everything. It’s constantly like walking into a film set.

I’m never without…

RJB: headphones and an old Gladstone bag with all my acupuncture gear. It became the logo for my brand and I take good care of it.
HP: lip balm.
JW: a book.
TT: a brush. I have to be able to brush my hair often, especially as I have a fringe.

The best advice is…

RJB: the thing you want to leave until the end is generally the thing you should do first – especially in terms of your health and feeling better. Ask yourself what that is, and you’ll probably unlock something big.
HP: use a brow serum.
JW: if you feel your beauty routine is too onerous, it’s time to rethink.
TT: be kind to yourself. It’s so important to give yourself a pat on the back.

The best thing about my job is…

RJB: even after twenty years, it amazes me what acupuncture can do. It blows my mind.
HP: how transformative it can be. A subtle change can instantly lift the face – but, more importantly, it gives people confidence.
JW: meeting people and helping them feel more radiant.
TT: I get a real kick out of making people feel better about themselves.

In summer I’ll be…

RJB: doing my best to pick up fiction instead of my phone.
HP: in the south of France: a residency at The Maybourne Riviera and trips with family and friends.
JW: in Melbourne, at my new salon at MECCA.
TT: somewhere in the south of France. My fiancé is French so we spend most summers there.
