Rules and Policies
A. Surrenne facilities including pool, sauna, and steam room are for the exclusive use of Members and hotel residents.
B. Surrenne guests shall need to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to them by, or on behalf of the company regarding the use of all facilities.
C. If the guest has any doubts about their abilities or the appropriateness of their use of the facilities through general condition, injury, or other reason, such as pregnancy, they must consult a doctor prior to using the relevant facilities.
D. Surrenne users may not use any of the facilities if suffering from any infectious or contagious illness, disease, or other ailment such as open cuts, abrasions, open sores or minor infections where there is a risk that such use may be detrimental to the health, safety, comfort or physical condition of other spa guests.
E. Only members of staff or a 3rd party agreed by the company may provide personal training services within the spa.
F. Pets are not allowed in Surrenne.
G. Smoking is not permitted in Surrenne.
H. Only food purchased from Surrenne should be consumed within the spa.
I. No alcoholic beverages or drugs of any kind may be brought into the spa.
J. Mobile phones may not be used in the gym, or around the pool, and should be switched off whilst in these areas. Outgoing calls may be made on mobiles while in the reception areas only.
K. Surrenne users shall not take photos or videos of other members in the club and are asked to be considerate of other members when using a mobile phone (no video calls, or calls on speakerphone)
L. No glass containers may be taken into any fitness areas, pool, or changing areas.
M. We advise that you book your appointments prior to your arrival, so that we may best accommodate your needs and to avoid disappointment should we be fully booked.
N. We require 24 hours’ notice to re-schedule or cancel your reservation. Reservations made within the 24-hour period are confirmed and cannot be changed or cancelled. All cancellations must be made through Surrenne, either in person at the reception desk, by phone, online, or through the app.
O. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you to enjoy Surrenne’s relaxing environment. Appointments and classes begin and end on time in order not to disrupt the scheduling.
P. Where robes and slippers are required for your visit, it is advisable to wear under garments beneath your robe. We also offer disposable undergarments for both men and women. Our therapists are trained in professional draping to cover you appropriately during treatments to maintain your privacy. T-shirts with comfortable trousers or shorts are ideal fitness attire. Trainers must be worn in the gymnasium.
Q. For personal items, lockers are provided in the changing rooms; however, we advise you not to bring or wear valuables whilst using our facilities. The company will not take liability for any loss of or damage to personal articles.
R. Inappropriate or aggressive behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated.
Treatments
A. Holistic consultations are carried out before all treatments. Please be aware that some treatments are not suitable for certain conditions, and it is in your best interests if we suggest an alternative treatment. Always consult your doctor first about any concerns you may have about your health, in certain cases written permission will be required by either your GP/Specialist or ‘Personal Disclaimer’ prior to any treatments being conducted.
B. Please inform us if you suffer from any allergies, sensitivities, high blood pressure, diabetes, a heart condition or any other physical ailments or injuries at the time of your reservation to allow the best possible treatment experience for you. We have treatments designed specifically for expectant mothers. Please notify us when making a reservation if you are pregnant and we will guide you through the treatments suitable for you.
C. All persons under the age of 16 wishing to have a treatment or use the facilities are regarded as minors and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Swimming Pool
A. Please be aware that there is not a permanent lifeguard in attendance in the pool area.
B. This area is monitored by CCTV, for this reason we request that you abide by the Swimming Pool Safety Code to assure your safety.
C. Children under 16 years of age must be always supervised by an adult (18 years and over).
D. The maximum number of children under 16 years of age that one adult can supervise is three.
E. Children of nappy wearing age must wear swim pants at all times.
F. Children using flotation devices (e.g., arm bands, rings) must be closely supervised with the parent or guardian in the water with them at all times.
G. People under the influence of alcohol and drugs will not be permitted to use the pool
H. Diving, running, jumping, pushing and rough play are not permitted in and around the pool area.
I. Users must shower before and after using the pool.
J. Mobile phones are not to be used around the pool area.
K. No glass or crockery is to be taken into the pool areas.
L. No outdoor footwear allowed on poolside. Shoe covers are provided by Surrenne.
M. A person suffering from a known serious medical condition such as heart conditions, diabetes, epilepsy, or respiratory problem should seek medical guidance from a doctor before swimming.
N. Any person volunteering such information should be closely monitored within the pool and the staff on duty should be made aware.
O. Anyone suffering from an open wound, sore, infected eyes or any discharge from ears or nose will be refused entry.
Gymnasium
A. Entry to the facilities is gained on presentation of Membership or Hotel residency, or by providing your name at the Surrenne reception desk on arrival.
B. Appropriate exercise clothing must be worn when using the gym. Tops must be worn at all times.
C. Bags and coats are not permitted in the Surrenne Gymnasium.
D. In the interest of hygiene and safety, please wipe down equipment after use and ensure all equipment is placed back in the racks provided.
E. No glass containers, hot beverages or food are allowed in the gym or studios.
F. In the event of an incident or accident, please report it immediately to the Manager on Duty. Where necessary, incidents will be referred to a third party and will be investigated in detail.
G. All Members must sign a personal training questionnaire and agreement prior to commencing a personal training session.
H. Please do not leave bags or personal items in the lockers overnight as they will be emptied every evening for cleaning.
I. Any items left in the spa/changing room/reception areas at the end of each day, will be treated as lost property and sent to security. Surrenne does not accept liability for any personal items left in the changing facilities or club areas.
J. We kindly request that you refrain from taking photos or videos in the changing rooms to respect the privacy of all guests.
