Reservations
- When should I book?
You can reserve a table for afternoon tea up to 90 days in advance with our online reservations opening at 7am.
- Is there a waiting list?
Due to demand we no longer operate a waitlist for afternoon tea, please feel free to contact the team dining@claridges.co.uk and they can help you find a suitable alternative.
- What is the dress code?
At Claridge’s we do not operate any dress code, however we find most of our guests choose smart casual dress.
- Can I take photos?
To respect the privacy of our guests we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photographs.
- Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, we make sure Claridge’s is fully accessible for guests with disabilities. Please contact us at dining@claridges.co.uk ahead of your visit if there is anything in particular we can help with.
- Do you cater for specific dietary requirements?
From vegan dishes to gluten-free pâtisserie, vegetarian to nut free, our chefs create menus to suit a wide range of diets. Simply talk to us about this at least 24 hours before you’re due to dine with us.
- What can you arrange for special occasions?
For special occasions, we can arrange champagne, large celebration cakes or a designer bouquet for an additional cost. There will be little extras too, from candles in one of your cakes to a message crafted in chocolate – with our compliments. Please email the reservations team at dining@claridges.co.uk to plan the perfect surprise.
The Fumoir
- The Fumour operates a no reservations policy.
- To respect the privacy of all our guests we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photographs
- Chid Policy: Only children who are resident at the hotel may enter the bar, if accompanied by an adult. Please note that children are welcome in the bar until 6pm.
Vouchers
- Do I need to bring my voucher with me on the day?
Our booking system means we do need to see the physical voucher when you arrive.
- Can I book online with my voucher code?
We are able to take bookings online using gift vouchers. While making your afternoon tea reservation on our website, simply enter your unique voucher code in the ‘Special requests’ field when selecting the time and date you would like to join us, and we will take care of all the details. Please just be aware that we will still ask for card details and be sure to bring your voucher along on the day of your booking.
- Why do I need to provide my card details for the booking?
We ask for card details to secure your booking in case of a late cancellation or no-show. Changes or cancellations made anytime up to 24 hours before your reservation will not be charged. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your reservation will be charged in full. - Can I use my voucher at The Connaught since Claridge’s is fully booked?
Our vouchers are unique to Claridge’s but you can use them for lunch or dinner here instead of afternoon tea, if you prefer.

Pet and Guide Dog Policy
Service dogs are permitted in our restaurants and bars as follows:

Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate dogs in the Fumoir
The Snuggery Terms & Conditions

Exclusive use bookings can be made up to six months in advance.
There is a minimum spend of £3,000 for private use of the Snuggery.

£500 will be charged to the cc if the booking is not cancelled within 72 hours.

Please note a 12.5% discretionary service charge will be added to the bill.

Confirmation of your booking will be emailed and we need to know of any pre-orders as soon as possible.

To respect the privacy of all our guests we ask that you kindly refrain from taking flash photographs.

Children are not allowed in the bar after 4pm.

Adjustments to party numbers can be made at any time at no extra charge.

We respectfully ask for guests to take their seats at the table at the indicated booking time. Kindly notify the bar if you are delayed, as we may release the area if it is still vacant 15 minutes after the booking time.
Pet and Guide Dog Policy
Dogs are not allowed in any food and beverage area, with the exception of assistance dogs.
The Connaught Grill Booking Reservations Policy
- We will be in touch again two days before you’re due to visit reminding you of your reservation details. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at this point. We will do our best to change your reservation, and there won’t be a charge for this.
- However, please be aware that if you cancel less than 24 hours before you’re due to dine with us or fail to arrive without giving us notice, there is a charge of £75 per guest, made to the credit card you gave to secure your booking
- Please be advised that you will have a seating time of 2 hours.

- How far in advance can I book?
You can make a booking up to 90 days in advance here. - Why do I need to provide my card details for the booking?
Credit card details are required to either secure your booking or to process additional payments such as pre-orders, follow-up charges and/or further payment requests during your visit. No deposit is processed on your credit card unless agreed in writing and you will only be required to pay on the day. Full terms and conditions can be found here. - Do I need to confirm my reservation?
You will be required to guarantee your reservation with credit card details, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. Once we receive your credit card details, your reservation will be confirmed. - What is the cancellation policy?
Subject to availability, you can make adjustments to or cancel your booking up to 48 hours ahead of your reservation time, at no extra charge. A charge will only be incurred if you fail to arrive for your reservation without notice, or cancel your booking within 48 hours of your reservation. The amount you will be charged is £210 per person for lunch and dinner. Please note that our cancellation policy is different for private dining, seasonal days, festive days, and special requests as it will be as per a contract or an agreement.
We ask for guests to respect our grace period of 15 minutes. If you do not arrive within this time or without notice, we will cancel your reservation and reallocate your table. - Do you cater for specific dietary requirements?
Please notify us in advance of your specific dietary requirements to ensure we are able to provide accurate information and advice on the ingredients and allergens in our dishes. - What is the dress code?
We do not have a dress code, so guests are welcome to wear whatever makes them most comfortable. Our guests within the hotel usually opt for a smart casual look. - Are children welcome in the restaurant?
In the interest of all our customers, we welcome guests aged seven and above in the restaurant. Younger children are welcome in our private dining areas.

Red Room
- Operates a no reservation policy for all-day dining and drinks.
- Child Policy: Kindly note that children, both residents and non-residents of the hotel, are welcome in our bars if accompanied by an adult. We do not have space for pushchairs.
Connaught Bar

Bookings are for full dining only and reservations are not available for drinks or desserts. Any guests that arrive for their reservation and only want drinks or desserts will have a minimum spend of £65 per person applied to their bill.

The amount that you will be charged is £65pp for lunch and dinner bookings and the full amount per person for afternoon tea. Afternoon teas cannot be shared between guests. If not all of your guests require the afternoon tea menu, please advise prior to your reservation date in order for us to accommodate your requirements.

The Berkeley Bar & Terrace
- The Berkeley Bar & Terrace operates a no reservation policy. Please note there is a minimum spend of £50 per person.
- Child Policy: Kindly note that children, both residents and non-residents of the hotel, are welcome in the bar until 7pm if accompanied by an adult.
The Berkeley Café
- Due to the ingredients used, we are unable to accommodate dietary requirements.
- Should you be running late for your reservation, please do call us 0207 235 6000.
Cedric Grolet's Counter online booking reservations policy
- We will reconfirm your reservation by email message 5 days prior to arrival and 4 days prior by text message. You will have the option to either reply to confirm or call us to cancel. If you have not confirmed your reservation 24 hours before booking, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and resell the table.
- If you fail to arrive for your reservation without notice, or cancel your booking within 72 hours of your reservation, the full amount per person will apply.
- Adjustments to booking numbers can be made within 72hrs of the booking.

The Emory Rooftop Bar
- The Emory Rooftop Bar operates a no reservations policy. While we aim to accommodate requests, specific tables or views cannot be guaranteed.
- Please note there is a minimum spend of £50 per person.
Pet and Guide Dog Policy
- Pets are not permitted at indoor food and beverage areas, the pool and the spa.
The Whisky Bar
- Child Policy: Please note that no children and no parties more than eight guests (unless a pricate event) are allowed in the bar. Cigars are available for purchase by hotel guests.
Rooftop Pool
- Please note, the rooftop pool is for hotel guests only.
Reservations Policy
- We will reconfirm your reservation by text message 72 hours prior to arrival. You will have the option to either reply to confirm or call to cancel. If you have not confirmed your reservation 24 hours before booking, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and resell the table.
- You can amend your booking at any time for no extra charge up until 24hrs before your reservation, subject to availability.
- We will hold your table for 20 minutes - please do let us know if you experience any delays. Due to the busy roads surrounding the hotel, we advise our guests to allow a 30-minute journey from both Monaco or Menton.
- Pets up to 10kg are welcome with our compliments throughout the hotel, except at La Piscine and La Mome Riviera. Guide dogs are of course welcome at The Maybourne Riviera.

Riviera Restaurant:

Our seating times are two hours for parties up to five people and two and a half hours for parties of six and above.

We only have a limited number of seats available on our terrace. Whilst we cannot guarantee a dining experience outside, we prioritise early seating. Le 300 bar has a terrace where you can enjoy pre and post meal drinks.

Relaxed, yet refined, we can happily accommodate children of any age – with highchairs and children’s menus available on request. Pets up to 10kg are welcome with our compliments throughout the hotel.
La Piscine
- Our seating times are two hours for parties up to five people and two and a half hours for parties of six and above.
- Please note that this reservation does not grant you access to the pool. If you wish to purchase a day pass with a sunbed, please contact the restaurant.
- We do not accept pets in the restaurant.
- For reservations of six people or more, your credit card details have been requested only as a guarantee. Full payment is made on site. Please note that a penalty of 80€ per person applies if we are not informed of your cancellation within 24 hours.
La Môme Riviera
- Our seating times are two hours for parties up to five people and two and a half hours for parties of six and above.
- Please note that this reservation does not grant you access to sunbeds. If you wish to purchase a day pass at our private beach, please contact the restaurant.
- We do not accept pets in the restaurant.
- For reservations of six people or more, your credit card details have been requested only as a guarantee. Full payment is made on site. Please note that a penalty of 80€ per person applies if we are not informed of your cancellation within 24 hours.
Pet Policy:
