This two-bedroom suite has an extraordinary history. In 1945, the exiled Yugoslavian royal family welcomed Crown Prince Alexander here, and Winston Churchill famously declared it Yugoslavian territory for one day, placing home soil under the bed.
Today, the interiors reflect this storied past. Gold leaf accents, velvets, and hand-embroidered silks create a palatial atmosphere. French wall mouldings and elements inspired by the Yugoslavian coat of arms complement Victorian-era garlanded acanthus plasterwork.
Interior designer Michelle Wu has beautifully blended the suite's heritage with modern touches. Light-filled spaces boast sweeping bay windows, while a grand piano and restored dining table make this suite perfect for entertaining.
