As a Group Sales Executive you will be responsible for daily administration and help with converting group enquiries for the Maybourne Hotel Group properties. This is an important role as it generates key revenue for Maybourne Hotel Group in both accommodation and events.

Main duties & responsibilities

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Pulling daily reports and distribute to the different departments, maintaining the filing system and general administration.

  • Handle small group / internal group requests from initial enquiry to contract stage.

  • Assist Group Sales Team in the organization of site visits and any other administrative tasks for the Head of Group Sales where necessary.

  • Ensure all telephone calls are answered quickly and efficiently within the required timeframe as per MHG Standards of Service. 

  • Negotiate with the client to ensure we are competitive with the competitive set and convert group business.

  • Pro-actively follow up on all provisional bookings, keeping the Head of Groups Sales and Sales Managers informed as to the progress of all bookings.

  • Issue contracts upon successful negotiation, this includes calculating deposits and understanding cancellation policies.

  • Ensure information is entered in to salesforce correctly and within company standards. Enter notes, contacts and correspondences to ensure activities are tracked.

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Group Sales Coordinator opportunity will:

  • Have previous experience within a hotel corporate group sales environment.
  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Maybourne Hotel Group and show a commitment to consistent quality in our products and services.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer care skills and ability to work under pressure, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Possess an excellent telephone manner, verbal and written English.
  • Have a high standard of personal presentation with confident, professional and welcoming personality.
