We are seeking an exceptional Reservations Departmental Trainer to join the Maybourne Reservations team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a Reservations Departmental Trainer your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Training Program Development:

  • Collaborate with departmental managers and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives, and to design comprehensive training programs that cover reservation processes, systems, policies, and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to develop training materials, manuals, presentations, and other resources to support the training curriculum.

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for new hires and existing team members.
  • Provide comprehensive hands-on on-boarding and training programme for all new hires within the Reservations department.
  • Provide hands-on training on reservation software, tools, and systems, emphasizing proficiency and efficiency.

Performance Evaluation and Feedback:

  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to individuals to address areas for improvement.
  • Monitor trainee progress and adjust training strategies as needed to ensure learning objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with management to track the effectiveness of training initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Generate reports and analyses on training metrics, including trainee performance, training completion rates, and training impact on departmental KPIs.
  • Prepare training-related documentation, such as training schedules, logs, training agendas, and training evaluation surveys.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in reservation technology.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities to enhance training skills and knowledge.
  • Solicit feedback from trainees, managers, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in training programs and delivery.

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Reservations Departmental Trainer opportunity will be able to:

  • Proven experience as a Departmental Trainer, ideally in a similar role within a hotel environment, however this is not a prerequisite;
  • Be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines;
  • Strong customer care skills and ability to work under pressure, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories;
  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Maybourne and show a commitment to consistent quality in our products and services;
  • A high standard of personal presentation with confident, professional and welcoming personality.
