An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Director of East Coast Sales to be based in New York and to be responsible for generating corporate and leisure revenue with an emphasis on developing new business opportunities with maximum revenue growth as well as continue to drive high revenue business from key accounts.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To have total account management for the following transient market segments – corporate, leisure and entertainment.
  • Target US East Coast territory which includes New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, Georgia and any other territories required.
  • To implement a sales strategy to increase Maybourne corporate market share by pursuing new business opportunities across all industries and convert competitor key accounts.
  • To conduct corporate rate negotiations on behalf of the hotels within agreed parameters.
  • To liaise closely with the UK team to review corporate production and monthly action plans.
  • To continue to grow and nurture our key consortia partners as well as focus on new consortia business targeting high revenue performing agencies with strong suite business.
  • To develop new client relationships through prospecting and proactive lead generation activities.
  • To develop a sales call plan which will maximize revenue growth and increase brand presence throughout the market with a minimum number of sales calls per week and sales trips per quarter.
  • To formulate a plan to pursue and convert high yield competitor business to Maybourne.
  • To regularly review forecasts to identify need periods and implement a sales strategy to convert business during these periods.
  • To develop key relationships with airlines and tourism boards to ensure MHG presence in the market.
  • To represent Maybourne at Trade Shows and exhibitions as directed.
  • To regularly collect competitor intelligence and share with the team.
  • To be responsible for organizing appointments and client events for the East Coast portion of the Maybourne roadshow.
  • To continually review sales and marketing information to ensure familiarity with the Maybourne product.
  • To achieve and exceed quarterly revenue and sales activity goals set forth at the beginning of the year.

Entry Requirements

You will be a natural and confident communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. You will be a highly organised individual, able to manage your time effectively who can prioritises tasks on a day to day basis. You also must be highly personable and being proactive is a must! We anticipate that the ideal candidate will have worked in within a similar environment.
