As an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager you will contribute to the efficient operation of the Food and Beverage Departments, covering all below aspects in the day to day running of the Food and Beverage outlets.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • To assist in each outlet in the capacity of a senior manager during busy periods and if necessary when HOD’s are away.
  • To be partly responsible for the Wine Executive, particularly with regard to their operational needs from week to week
  • To assist each department operationally from week to week alerting the F&B Director to areas of need or shortage.
  • To ensure that the service provided to clients (through you and the staff) are at the highest standard as set by Claridge’s and LQA Standards.
  • To share knowledge, and encourage management and staff to develop within the department.
  • To make sure that all staff are informed of what duties they need to perform to carry out their roles to the best of their ability, and are appropriately trained and briefed to complete those duties.
  • To train all F&B staff on basic knowledge of food and wines, licensing and selected services. 
  • Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.

Entry Requirements

We are looking for a strong, motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The person will be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Organisational skills and diary management are essential.

  • Ideally you will have worked within a similar role within luxury hospitality.
