An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionated Junior Sous Chef to become part of the Kitchen team at Jean-Georges at The Connaught, our restaurant by internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Jean-Georges at The Connaught offers eclectic, imaginative menus inspired by Jean-Georges Vongerichten's signature use of South-east Asian flavours, whilst also featuring his distinctive take on British and Connaught classics. Sourcing the best of British ingredients, the menus also reflect the farm-to-table, fresh-from-the-market approach long pioneered by Jean-Georges.

Main duties & responsibilities

As Junior Sous Chef, you will:

  • Work closely with the Sous chef and Executive Sous Chef and hold a key role in day to day operation of the Jean-Georges kitchen.
  • Be passionate about working with the finest, freshest ingredients and in delivering quality dishes and products. 
  • Take an organised approach to your role and prioritise effectively to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, sharing your knowledge and supporting in the training and development more junior chefs in the brigade. 

Entry Requirements

You will be  an exceptional team player with excellent communication skills and have a key focus on detail to deliver outstanding quality and service within a high profile kitchen. With this in mind, you will have experience ideally at similar level within a quality dining environment and have proven kitchen experience.
