A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Concierge to join our Concierge team at Claridge's.

Claridge’s has a famous all-day dining and Afternoon Tea restaurant the ‘Foyer & Reading Room’, L’Epicerie that offers a culinary theatre of the kitchen, and three bars: Claridge’s Bar, the intimate Fumoir and effortlessly elegant Painter’s Room.

Main duties & responsibilities

As Concierge you will be an exceptional team player and have a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. You will be an excellent and confident communicator and have the ability to interact with guests and clients to ensure a fantastic experience at Claridge's.

You will work alongside the Concierge team, ensuring the successful operation of the Concierge Desk under the instruction and guidance of the Head Concierge.  Provide assistance so the departmental objectives and the Richey standards are achieved, whilst delivering outstanding customer service.

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Post external guest charges to their main hotel account which shall include but not limited to chauffeur services, newspapers, theatre tickets, shopping requests;
  • Provide an efficient support mechanism to all concierge personnel, which shall include but not limited to typing, answering and sending emails, faxing, answering telephone calls and administrative support;
  • To assist guest with any requirements where possible and within the limits of company policies and legalities;
  • To ensure you become a known point of contact within the department and you develop and maintain excellent working relationships with guests and staff;
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of hotel services and products;
  • Respond to all guests and departmental requests in a timely fashion;
  • Adhere to and incorporate into your daily routines the departmental Richey standards;
  • Assist in answering in timely fashion guest’s correspondents, faxes, emails and letters;
  • Ensure stock levels of supplier brochures, monthly where magazines, weekly Time Out magazines and monthly Theatre lists are plentiful and up to date;
  • Update guest profiles in the Concierge Assistant and new supplier contact details.

 

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Concierge opportunity will:

  • Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories
  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service
  • Have ideally worked in a similar role within a hotel environment, however this is not a prerequisite.
  • Be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer care skills with ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of personal presentation
  • Confident, professional and welcoming personality
