We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join our team within the Claridge’s ArtSpace Café at Claridge’s.

In this role, you will work 4 days a week with no late evenings as shifts will be scheduled around the Claridge’s ArtSpace Café's opening hours.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a Junior Sous Chef you will be responsible for:

  • The supervision, preparation and service of food within the Claridge’s ArtSpace Café.
  • Ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
  • The development and ongoing learning of Chef de Parties, Demi Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs and Apprentice chefs.
  • Working with and supporting Chef de Parties, Demi Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion control.

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Junior Sous Chef opportunity will:

  • Be able to lead and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
  • Demonstrate an absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories.
  • Be motivated, creative and have worked in a similar role, within a five-star or fast-paced kitchen environment
  • You will have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
  • Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or higher in a fast-paced kitchen environment
