Main duties & responsibilities

As Reception Coordinator you will play an integral role in the Front Office and Reception operations by assisting the Front Office Manager and Director of Rooms with the daily coordination and administration of the Reception and Front Office division of the hotel. 

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Check arrival reports for accuracy of rates, comments, guest history and billing information and highlight any changes or special requests to the relevant departments. 
  • Assist with reception operation and complete guest check-ins and check-outs as needed. 
  • Liaise with Central Reservation in regards of bookings and ensure all information provided by the reservations team gets processed accordingly and prior to guest arrivals. 
  • Be fully conversant with the booking system and operations and liaise with the Front Office Manager and Revenue Manager in regards to closing or restricting the hotels availability.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in all departmental training and maintain accurate records of the team's training attendance. 
  • Assist the Reception team with the daily allocation of rooms and suites and ensure all Berkeley guests have an exceptional stay experience at the hotel. 

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Reception Coordinator opportunity will need to have excellent communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. You need to work well under pressure with excellent ability to coordinate efficiently with other departments and bring good administration and organisational skills.

We anticipate applicants will have previous experience in Reception or Guest Relations and will have worked in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
