A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our Pastry Kitchen at The Berkeley.

Main duties & responsibilities

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Pastry team in the preparation and service of our famed Pret-a-Portea afternoon tea, decadent desserts, pastry amenities and baked goods, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
  • Supervise all staff in your section and provide support to junior chefs when needed.
  • Be fully conversant with all Restaurant, Bar, In Room Dining and Banqueting menus, ensuring efficient communication is maintained between the Pastry Kitchen and all F&B outlets.
  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef and the senior chefs in the creation of seasonal desserts and VIP amenities for in-house guests and special events.
  • Attend regular team briefings and training sessions to ensure that your product knowledge, preparation methods and techniques are up to standards.

Entry Requirements

As a Chef de Partie you will work closely with the Pastry Sous Chef and assist in the day to day operation of the pastry kitchen. You will be passionate about working with the finest and freshest ingredients; you will be responsible for the making of an indulgent range of delicate desserts, superb petit fours and other patisserie.
