Night chef
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Night Chef to join the Main Kitchen team at The Berkeley.

The Berkeley is perfectly positioned between Hyde Park, fashionable Knightsbridge and the residential neighbourhood of Belgravia. Its signature experiences include the famed Blue Bar, The Berkeley Bar & Terrace, Michelin-starred dining in ‘Marcus’ by Marcus Wareing and our Bamford Health Club & Spa.
Main duties & responsibilities
As a Night Chef you will ensure that the highest standard of food preparation and service is maintained at all times and to ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standard required by the Hotel.
Main responsibilities of the Night Chef include, but are not limited to:
- Assist that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards as required by the Hotel.
- Be fully conversant with the Night Floor Service menu and Collins Room Menu.
- Ensure that the night staff food is prepared, cooked and put into canteen by 01.00 AM ensuring that the food is hot and adequate quantities are made.
- Ensure that any breakfast mise en place that is needed to prepare for the breakfast Chef is completed and not to leave until all is in order as directed by Breakfast Chef.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and that the cleanliness of lockers, showers / toilets and changing rooms are maintained to the required standard of the Hotel.
- Contribute to maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
