A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate House Porter to join the Housekeeping team at The Berkeley.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a House Porter you will assist the housekeeping department to keep all rooms and equipment well maintained, cleaned and up to the hotel’s standards.

Main responsibilities of the House Porter include, but are not limited to:

  • Have a general knowledge of the hotel’s layout and be able to communicate hotel services to guests when requested by them.
  • Report any soiled or damaged furniture, fixtures, fittings, and equipment to the Supervisor.
  • Clean and maintain service and storage areas, corridors, guest, and staff lifts.
  • Move, remove, lift, and install beds, cots, furniture, mattresses, etc. as required and directed by Supervisor.
  • Make sure all the maid services, waiter services and night manager cupboards are well stocked and cleaned.
  • Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.

We anticipate applicants will have previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
