A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Leader to join our Front Office team at The Berkeley.

Main duties & responsibilities

As a Shift Leader you will be an exceptional team player and have a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. You will be an excellent and confident communicator and have the ability to interact with guests and clients to ensure a fantastic experience at The Berkeley.

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a smooth and efficient running of the shift adhering to The Berkeley standards and procedures.
  • Confidently lead and train the reception team in collaboration with the Director of Rooms and senior Front Office team.
  • Provide a warm welcome and unique stay experience to all guests by demonstrating a high knowledge of all hotel facilities and make relevant recommendations.
  • Ensure all Receptionists are conversant with the company’s credit policy and all accounting procedures.
  • Closely monitor daily arrivals and departures and communicate guest specific preferences or additional information to relevant departments.
  • Co-ordinate daily tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and timely manner by demonstrating excellent administration and organisational skills.

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Shift Leader opportunity will need to be well presented, have excellent communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. We anticipate applicants will have previous experience as Front Office Shift Leader/Supervisor and will have worked in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
