We are currently seeking an experienced Events and groups manager to join our creative and innovative events team here at The Berkeley.

With an independent spirit and an eye for style, The Berkeley is the epitome of modern British luxury. Rooms are by leading designers, and London’s original fashionista afternoon tea is served daily in the Collins Room. The Berkeley is perfectly positioned between Hyde Park, fashionable Knightsbridge and the residential neighbourhood of Belgravia. Its signature experiences include the famed Blue Bar, two Michelin-starred dining in Marcus and the Bamford Haybarn Spa, with heavenly swimming pool.

Main duties & responsibilities

As an Events and groups manager you will be responsible for the selling, including proactive and reactive sales, effectively converting enquires into sales, and the execution of Events and groups at The Berkeley. Working within the Events and groups team, you will ensure the highest standards of quality at all parts of the events process for your clients, and be responsible for key account management and follow up for future business.

Entry Requirements

  • Previous experience within a similar role, delivering a high level of guest service in a Events and groups environment
  • Ideally, in depth knowledge of DELPHI
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS is a plus
  • A passion for delivering outstanding guest service
  • In depth knowledge of food and beverage and be able to recommend and discuss items with clients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A confident, professional and welcoming personality
