A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join The Garden team at The Berkeley.

Main duties & responsibilities

As Assistant Restaurant Manager you will assist the Restaurant Operations Manager in the day to day operations of The Garden Restaurant. You will be passionate about creating unique experiences for our guests and help establishing a strong brand reputation. 

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the daily operations of The Garden, ensuring that daily briefings are being held and that VIP bookings are being communicated with the team accordingly. 
  • Consistently deliver excellent hotel service standard levels to ensure complete satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about the food & drinks menu and thoroughly trained according to hotel and service standards. 
  • Identify team/individual training needs and communicate these to the Restaurant Operations Manager immediately. 
  • Be alert and proactive for opportunities to improve the profitability of the department through controlling wastage and being responsible for the economy of all utilities and resources.
  • Assist with generating ideas of up-selling and promotions to raise profitability.
