A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Bartender to join the Blue Bar team at The Berkeley.

Main duties & responsibilities

 

As a Head Bartender you will assist with the seamless running of our Blue Bar by providing exquisite cocktails and beverages to our guests and ensuring the highest level of guest service is maintained at all times. As a Head Bartender you will need to have an excellent knowledge of mixology and have passion for wines and alcohol. You will also be responsible for overseeing the bar area in the Bar Manager/Assistant Bar Managers’ absence.

  • Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
  • Knowledgeable of all food and beverage items in order to make recommendations
  • Promptly receive drink order chits and pour all beverages according to O&B standards
  • Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team members
  • Setup and take apart bar area
  • Stock and maintain all bar products 
  • Check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels
  • Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering
  • Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies

Entry Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic Head Bartender who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

You will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail in order to deliver outstanding quality and service.

  • Excellent knowledge of wines, liquor and champagnes
  • Mixology training and an excellent knowledge of cocktails
  • A high standard of personal presentation
  • Confident, professional and welcoming personality
  • An excellent command of English
