A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Assistant Head Concierge to join the Concierge team at The Berkeley.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As Assistant Head Concierge you will provide an efficient and friendly service to our guests in respect of information, theatre bookings, restaurant bookings and to promote the hotel and company facilities wherever possible and for each member of the department to be fully trained on induction in their department area, and all other hotel outlets.


Main responsibilities of Assistant Head Concierge include, but are not limited to:

  • To ensure you become a known point of contact within the department and you develop and maintain excellent working relationships with guests and staff.
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of hotel services and products.
  • Respond to all guests and departmental requests in a timely fashion.
  • Adhere to and incorporate into your daily routines the departmental Berkeley standards.
  • To be fully conversant with all concierge procedures.
  • To Ensure Berkeley Standards, LQA Standards and Forbes standards are met and team members are constantly trained, updated and assessed on these standards.

Entry Requirements

Successful candidates for our Assistant Head Concierge opportunity will need to be well presented, have excellent communication skills and pleasant telephone manner. We anticipate applicants will have previous experience as Senior Concierge or Assistant Head Concierge and will have worked in a luxury hotel environment.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, a professional and welcoming personality and excellent communication skills.
