Claridge’s X The Newt combines town and country in one unforgettable experience. Alongside bed and breakfast, enjoy a three-course menu in The Foyer & Reading Room, packed with Somerset-sourced ingredients, plus a selection of thoughtful welcome gifts from the iconic estate. Coinciding with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the stay offers a seasonal celebration of rural idyll in Mayfair’s most iconic hotel.
Installation
A Farm in Mayfair
This May, the Claridge's lobby undergoes a pastoral transformation. At its heart stands a four-metre sculptural tower of woven willow, curated by The Newt’s artisans. This ‘constellation of animals’ - from water buffalo to British White cattle - ascends skyward amongst countryside flowers and apple trees.
The installation tells the story of the Somerset estate in layers, culminating in a single egg at its peak: a symbol of origin, renewal, and the natural cycles that nourish both farming and gardening.
