A firm fixture on social and sporting calendars for generations, Royal Ascot sits at the historic heart of horse racing – a showcase for the finest steeds, and sartorial elegance aplenty. Dating back almost 200 years, this five-day meet continues to draw together the world’s top-performing horses, jockeys and trainers, as they battle it out for a record prize pot of £9.52 million.
The action begins with the arrival of the Royal Procession, which travels along the iconic Straight Mile – before passing through the Parade Ring and giving way to the first race of the afternoon. And whether it’s the magnificent millinery of Ladies Day or the £1 million sprint finale, expect a packed programme, steeped in British tradition.

Time-honoured customs extend beyond the track, with joyful singing around the bandstand an uplifting end to the day. While races are perfectly punctuated by fine dining experiences – from the panoramic shade of The Veranda to the Michelin-starred menus of Simon Rogan, served in the Parade Ring.
