The Nutcracker at London Coliseum

The Nutcracker

A Christmas staple with its corps of shimmering snowflakes, mischievous rat army and a sprinkling of magic.

The Stage

A festive fantasy for all the family

Dancing its way into Christmas tradition and the city’s heart once more, The Nutcracker at the London Coliseum returns for just three weeks this December. Over 100 dancers and musicians bring this classic tale to life, with imaginative staging and Tchaikovsky’s soaring score setting the scene for an enchanting performance.

It’s Christmas Eve, and as London falls silent under the hush of freshly fallen snow, Clara and her magical nutcracker doll embark on a journey of mystery, adventure and love. Rising over the frost-tipped rooftops, they travel to far-away winter lands – where fantastical characters and untold sweetness await.

From Russia with love

Inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ book ‘The Story of a Nutcracker’, The Nutcracker ballet was first performed at the Marinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in 1892. And now, in the heart of the West End’s theatre district, the London Coliseum provides a dramatic stage for this historic tale. Reimagined and retold for generations, a ticket to The Nutcracker is a ticket to a world of wonder and whimsy.
