This year the classically British RHS Chelsea Flower Show will take place in September for the first time in its history, offering a unique opportunity for gardeners to explore the best of Autumn horticulture. Wander the garden exhibits of world-famous designers, taking inspiration for your own green spaces while sipping champagne in the sunshine. The Chelsea Pavilion is filled with the sight (and scent) of thousands of fragrant flowers while storytelling ‘show gardens’ compete for a highly prized gold medal.
This year, the Show’s timely focus is on combatting climate change through sustainable gardening practices and clever urban design. House plant studios will replicate rooms in a home to showcase the benefits of growing plants indoors and many up-and-coming designers will be showcased. The line-up includes Lily Gomm, former RHS Young Designer for the Year finalist, whose Sanctuary Garden will be inspired by Switzerland, returning favourite Kzuyuki Ishihara and newcomers Carly Kershaw and Ekatereina Zasukhina who make their Chelsea debut.
In recognition of the past year, Naomi Ferrett-Cohen has designed Finding Our Way - An NHS Tribute Garden where visitors are invited to reflect and celebrate front line heroes.
We are excited that we are still planning to bring the world’s best loved gardening event to the nation at a time when more people are gardening more than ever.
