Cartier Queen's Cup
A Summer Season Staple
One of the Queen's favourite royal events
Woman & Home
This summer, Guards Polo Club once more plays host to one of the highlights of the English social season. Held in the stunning scenery of Windsor Great Park, the Cartier Queen’s Cup is among the world’s leading 22-goal polo tournaments, as well as a sophisticated social occasion.
This is your opportunity to see many of the greatest players and their first-class strings of ponies, while enjoying the lavish hospitality on offer. You could spend a day in the prestigious Royal Box or get closer to the action in a bespoke pitch-side marquee.
Founded in 1955 by HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Guards Polo Club remains a proud bastion of high society. In fact, Prince Philip himself has twice narrowly missed out on winning the trophy, achieving the runners-up spot in 1964 and ’66. Today, the club continues to thrive with 1,000 non-playing members and 160 players from around the world.
If you are planning a visit, please respect the club’s dress code of smart casual. This gets progressively more formal in the Clubhouse and Royal Box respectively. Wherever you watch the tournament from, the atmosphere is certain to be very special indeed.
