Cowes Week

All aboard a British pastime

A beloved fixture on the British sporting and social calendar, Cowes Week is now the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world. Up to 40 races a day see 1,000 boats take to the Solent, as weekend seafarers set sail alongside Olympic champions.

On shore, the atmosphere is equally spirited – as spectators and socialites soak up the Isle of Wight’s famed hospitality. Marquees offering live entertainment, delicious food and open-air bars promise to be a hit with sea-loving folk and landlubbers alike, while art galleries, museums and boutique stores provide the perfect respite between races.

Cowes Week is an eclectic mix of hard-core racing, black tie balls and crew parties for those who feel able to burn the midnight oil whilst participating in seven days of highly competitive racing.
