Nitto ATP Finals
Tennis aces race to the top
Be in the crowd to see who will net the World Champion title as the men’s professional tennis season draws to a thrilling close at London’s O2 Arena.
Rafael Nadal leads the charge as the planet’s top ranked players take on the final battle of the ATP World Tour at the world’s biggest indoor tennis tournament. Unlike the Grand Slams, the ATP Finals test the competitors with a round-robin format. Only the top eight singles and pairs in the world are eligible to compete, meeting in adrenaline-charged matches to decide who will reach the knockout stages.
Those players vying for the title are only confirmed just before the finals, but clinching a spot at this prestigious tournament is never far from the minds of the tennis elite. This year, Nadal, Djokovic, Federer and Del Potro have already done enough to become contenders, while the likes of Marin Čilić and this year’s Wimbledon finalist Kevin Anderson are still eyeing the remaining places.
As well as the ultimate glory of winning, the ranking points at stake at each stage of the competition will determine 2018’s final standings. So it really will be all to play for as tennis’ finest step onto the court.
It’s such an honour to play here, one of the best weeks I have ever had.
