Goodwood Festival of Speed
This July, the Goodwood Estate opens its gates once again for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This joyous celebration of motorsport and car culture is an opportunity to admire some of history’s greatest cars and get a first look at the latest new arrivals.
The festival is far more than a motor show, however. Described as ‘the garden party of the gods’, visitors rub shoulders with the stars of the driving world, congregating on Goodwood’s manicured lawns for a close-up view, as supercars and F1 cars tear up the famous hillclimb track.
This year promises to be all the more spectacular, as the event marks its 25th anniversary. To celebrate, founder and host the Duke of Richmond will be choosing his 25 favourite moments from the first 25 events and weaving these highlights into this year’s programme. Visitors can expect a fascinating homage to the drivers, cars, teams and races that turned the Goodwood Festival of Speed from a small, one-day event into a four-day international phenomenon.
It’s really amazing, it’s awe-inspiring, it’s incredible. I don’t think there’s anything like this in the world.
