A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Purchasing assistant to join the kitchen team at the award-winning 5-Star deluxe Connaught Hotel.

Main duties & responsibilities

As Purchasing assistant you will assist in the receiving of goods into the hotel, checking for quality and accuracy as well as ensure correct administration of deliveries. You will also be required to assist in the general administration and to co-ordinate daily purchases.

Entry requirements

You will be an excellent and confident communicator, a professional team player and has the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. You will have a high level of numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office. Proven administrative and organisational skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. The ideal candidate must be a team player who is committed and flexible to assist the kitchen and purchasing department whenever required. Previous experience of working with purchasing and procurement systems would be beneficial for this role.
