We are currently seeking an exceptional Receptionist on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week. As a Receptionist you will be responsible for creating a warm and friendly welcome to our guests at arrival and ensuring their stay is special and memorable.

Rooms are by leading designers, and London’s original fashionista afternoon tea is served daily in the Collins Room. The Berkeley is perfectly positioned between Hyde Park, fashionable Knightsbridge and the residential neighbourhood of Belgravia. Its signature experiences include the famed Blue Bar, two Michelin-starred dining in Marcus and the Bamford Haybarn Spa, with heavenly swimming pool.

Main duties & responsibilities

You will ensure seamless check-in, rooming and departure of the hotel by learning about our guests and creating a personalised service.As a Receptionist you will also be checking reservation details, upselling and maximising revenue, and promoting our hotel outlets and services at all times. You will be also responsible for an allocated float, daily banking and handling cash.

Entry requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Receptionist, who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a fast learnr, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent guest care skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent level of spoken English
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Confident, professional and welcoming personality
  • A high standard of personal presentation
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS is an advantage
