Family theatre festival extended into third week

Date: 13 Aug - 03 Sep 10
Event: Kids Week in the West End
Location: Various

Families planning a trip to London this summer will be interested to hear that a festival designed to get children interested in the theatre has been extended into a third week. Kids Week in the West End was originally scheduled to run from 13th to 27th August but will now continue until 3rd September.

Organisers decided to extend the event to meet strong demand for tickets. Families planning to visit the capital to see some shows can book a room at the five star Claridge's hotel in London to make sure they have a comfortable and memorable stay.

One of the main advantages of Kids Week is the opportunity to get a free child's ticket for every paying adult at a number of shows in the West End. Mamma Mia!, Legally Blonde, Grease and War Horse are among the productions taking part this year.

Emma De Souza, development manager at the Society of London Theatre, said: "We are thrilled that Kids Week is giving more children than ever before the chance to experience the magic of live theatre. As an extra bonus we are organising a special family fun day for 5-10 year olds at the Unicorn Theatre on September 2nd."

Enjoy afternoon tea in London at your Mayfair hotel before going to see one of the shows participating in Kids Week.
