The famous Selfridges department store on Oxford Street is currently hosting an exhibition celebrating the work of Beatrix Potter. The display was launched on 8th March and will remain open until 12th April.
A broad selection of items features in the showcase, including pen and ink illustrations, books and toys. Families can head to the Connaught hotel in Mayfair to check in before treating younger visitors to a memorable experience at the exhibition.
Highlights of the show include a version of The Tale of Peter Rabbit from 1903 and early editions of all 23 original tales written by the author. During the Easter weekend of 2nd to 5th April, Peter Rabbit himself will make special appearances at the exhibition to take part in a series of daily storytelling performances.
The highly popular character will visit the bookshop on the lower ground floor at 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 each day. Visitors will also be able to buy books, DVDs, toys and other items in-store.
